Man Armed With Box Cutter Caught On Camera Robbing Silver Spring Dunkin' (Video)

A man who used a t-shirt to obscure his face while threatening a Dunkin’ employee in Montgomery County with a box cutter remains at large a week after he held up a Silver Spring store.

Investigators from the Montgomery County Department of Police released new surveillance video of an armed robbery that was reported on Thursday, May 18 at the location in the 12200 block of Veirs Mill Road.

Police say that the suspect walked up to the counter, and when the employee came from the back, he took out the weapon and demanded cash. When the employee retreated, the suspect hopped over the counter, made more threats, and ran off with cash boxes from the registers.

In the video, the man can be seen running away through a back door and into the night after a brief struggle with the doorknob.

The suspect was described as being an approximately 40-year-old White or Hispanic man who was 5-foot tall, with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white baseball hat, black jacket, light-colored pants, and tan work boots with a t-shirt covering his face.
